La Policia (0-1) can send a message to the league with a Week 2 victory over the TBG.

WEEK 2 PREVIEW
Blue Baracudas, League Champs Making Season Debuts

Ogdensburg, NJ--  Week 1 was a thrilling opening week for the XOFL, and there were only 3 games played.  This week, we have the Blue Baracudas and the League Champs both making their league debuts.  Also, top-ranked British Gentlemen (1-0) square off with La Policia, in Week 2's Game of the Week#2 Ferdinand Magellan faces the League Champs, which is a pretty tough Opening Day for the Champs (0-0).  Suprising #3 Team Walmart (Dukes of Ogdensburg) try to improve their unbeaten record to 2-0 this week, when they square off with TLA (0-1).  #4 Hamburg Knights (0-1) face the Blue Baracudas, who are one of two teams making their league debut Sunday.

Here's an in-depth look at each scheduled game for Week 2:

Game of the Week: #1 British Gentlemen vs. #6 La Policia
Although the rankings say this game should be a blowout, I believe the real La Policia has yet to show up.  La Policia played Week 1 without top WR Kenny Martinez, and had a sub who is about half his size, in Pat Lang.  Also, the British Gentlemen may be without WR/CB Travis Wenz in Week 2, giving La Policia a shot (although word has it that the sub will be Joe Byrne or Tyler Wenz).  Wenz adds speed and quickness that TBG lack without him, although Frank Elmuccio should step up and catch around 20-25 balls on Sunday.  La Policia QB Bobby Lang will need to step it up and improve from his Week 1 performance and hopefully will have his full team.  WR Kevin Reidinger caught 7 balls in Week 1, but did score 3 Touchdowns.  A few more big catches from Reidinger, stellar play from B. Lang, and a present Kenny Martinez in Week 2 and La Policia could give the British Gentlemen a game on Sunday.  Final Word:  Even without Wenz, I can not see the British Gentlemen losing this game.  British Gentlemen 49--- La Policia 28

Game 2: #2 Ferdinand Magellan (1-0) vs. #8 League Champs
Ferdinand Magellan looked very impressive in their Week 1 victory over TLA, defeating them 49-14.  QB Joe Byrne is going into Week 2 as the top QB, being the only one in the league with a QB Rating over 100.0.  WR Tyler Wenz earned himself Overall Player of the Week Honors, catching 23 balls for 5 TD's, as well as adding 2 defensive INT's.  The League Champs will get embarassed in Week 2 (their Opening Day) as they have yet to play any type of game this season, both preseason and regular season.  Ferdinand Magellan could set many offensive records in Week 2, add Tyler Wenz or Joe Byrne could add to their Season Awards.  League Champs QB Eric Burns will look puzzled and confused all day, and WR's Steve Simmons and Xhevat Vukel will have a hard time getting open with Ferdinand Magellan's defense.  Final Word: This one will be a laugher...Ferdinand Magellan: 84---- League Champs 7

Game 3:  #3 Team Walmart (1-0)  vs. #5 TLA (0-1)
Team Walmart looked good in their Week 1 win over La Policia, 28-21, and Jess Petronaci is back for another week.  QB Rog Guild was impressive in their Week 1 victory, good for 3rd ranked QB in the league on Opening Day.  Rocky Tironi caught 3 TD Passes, while Jess Petronaci caught 10 balls, 1 for a score.  TLA will come out hungry for their first win this year and I believe they have a good shot.  QB Nick Selepouchin will need to limit his turnovers and make good, smart decisions in Week 2.  If Selepouchin can get both WR's 15 catches each, TLA will come out with the victory.  WR's Jeff Posiech and Paul Palecek are both in the top 5 WR's in the league, but only scored 1 combined touchdown in Week 1. Final Word: Will be a close game, but TLA will be more hungry for this one. TLA 42-- Team Walmart 28

Game 4:  #4 Hamburg Knights (0-1) vs. # 7 Blue Baracudas
The Hamburg Knights did not play well against Ferdinand Magellan, not giving them much of a game at all in Week 1.   QB Brian Saxton needs to take charge of this team and not allow other members to take any snaps.  Saxton is a rythem player and sometimes starts off shaky, but will slowly improve.  If Saxton can get off to a good start in Week 2, they should take care of the Blue Baracudas.  TE Nick Sabatello caught 7 balls in Week 1, 1 for a TD.  WR/CB Andrew Kasa caught 4 balls on offensive in Week 1, not nearly enough if he wants to have a successful team in the XOFL.  QB Gil Tussey is still contemplating retirement or not, while WR's Tommy Babcock and Chris Killacky are eager to begin their season.  If they find a quality QB, this team could be dangerous.   Final Word:  Saxton improves, has a good game.  Cuda's don't have answer.  Hamburg Knights 35-- Blue Baracudas 28
